The following article, Trump’s Fundraiser Panicked Democrats, was first published on The Black Sphere.
Trump’s massive fundraiser created a tsunami of panic with Democrats. Only days earlier the Party of Lynching spiked the football after raising $26 million for the President Demento.
But the problems underlying Biden still exist. And Trump showed the first one.
Coming on the heels of Joe Biden’s fundraiser where Democrats bragged of raising $26 million and setting a record for one-day fundraising. Trump said appropriately, “Hold my Rolex!” Then he raised a whopping $50.5 million.
As CNN wrote:
Donald Trump’s campaign said it raised $50.5 million at a Saturday fundraiser in Florida, a staggering sum as the former president’s political operation scrambles to close its big financial gap with President Joe Biden and the Democratic Party.
The haul announced by the campaign and top officials with the Republican National Committee far eclipses the $26 million that Biden reported collecting recently at a star-studded gathering in New York City that featured former Presidents Bill Clinton and Barack Obama. The Trump total from the “Inaugural Leadership Dinner” at the Palm Beach, Florida, home of billionaire investor John Paulson sets a record for a single fundraising event.
CNN identified the real problem for Biden. It took a “star-studded gathering” for Biden to raise money. Oh, and Biden attended as well.
For all intents, Biden could have been a folding chair at this event. Remove Lizzo, and you have an empty arena with three ex-presidents having a panel discussion among themselves.
Nobody cares about Clinton, Obama, and especially Biden. Contrast that with Trump’s gathering.
Far fewer people gathered at billionaire John Paulson’s mansion. But Trump almost doubled Biden’s haul. And who was the star at the Trump event?
Trump! No Lizzo, ex-presidents, or others needed. Just Trump.
Trump campaign senior advisers Chris LaCivita and Susie Wiles said in a statement:
“It’s clearer than ever that we have the message, the operation, and the money to propel President Trump to victory on November 5.”
Paulson’s event hosted the elite among Republicans; the biggest donors. And they made a few phone calls, so expect more such events. But what of the events that will happen around the country for Trump; affordable events for the grassroots?
Can Trump get 10,000 people in every state to give him $100 at an event? How many rallies could he put together and raise $10 million or more?
And now that the RNC got rid of its dead weight, I fully expect Trump to outraise Biden. Not that he will need it.
Trump is an earned-media juggernaut. If you aren’t talking about him in media, then you’re left behind. Further, Biden’s screw-ups only highlight Trump more.
Biden’s feckless economy has brought the Black female vote into play. His immigration policies have become the number one campaign issue, eclipsing the economy according to some.
Biden’s policies have wrecked the economy. So at the fundraiser, Trump delivered a traditional campaign speech which highlighted core issues for his second term. Trump discussed extending his 2017 tax cuts, securing the southern border, and ending Biden’s electric vehicle mandates, according to a Trump campaign official and a guest of the event.
Trump has also recently addressed abortion, declaring it a state’s right. That should help with the baby-killer crowd, who can return to focus on not being able to feed the children they took to term.
Ironically, Trump’s biggest Trump card remains Biden. More than Biden’s insane and unsuccessful policies, his health will come back into play. So will his criminal activities.
Republicans in the House appear to bide their time (pun intended), and should reveal soon on allegations of corruption against Biden. Unless they are all talk, which remains to be seen.
Regardless, plenty of signs point to Trump trouncing Biden (again), and this time he gets to take home the prize.
Undoubtedly this is the most important election of all our lifetimes, regardless of age. America cannot allow Biden (or any Democrat) to be president in 2024; some might argue, ever.
Trump’s ability to raise so much money so quickly bodes well for his campaign. It signals to the political establishment the shift of big money. Major players don’t back losers. And you can bet much of that DeSantis and Haley money is firmly in the Trump camp with more to come.
