The following article, CAUGHT: Walz Lies in Congress about His Military Service, was first published on The Black Sphere.

Democrats are sneaky bastards, and they talk in code. Particularly when they are covering for themselves.

Democrats don’t accomplish much, so they embellish often. They pretend to have amazing lives and been through harrowing situations generally to impress people they plan to bilk.

Kamala Harris’ running mate is one such Democrat. In this exchange with a veteran who suffers from his service in Afghanistan, Walz pretends to know what this man suffers from.

Tim Walz says he suffers from PTSD after serving in Afghanistan.

Partial Transcript

Walz: And both of you with your keen understanding of how this works, especially from National Guard families, I can tell you this having been one of those who came back, we were in support of OEF, but being setting in there with OEF OIF veterans when we came back, they showed us The Horse Whisperer and told us to be nice when we went home. And that was the extent of it and that was in 2004.

Lies. Lies. And more lies.

Walz never served in Afghanistan in Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF). But he likes to throw around acronyms, like OEF and OIF (Operation Iraqi Freedom), because it makes him sound like he was one of the guys.

Walz lied to men experiencing PTSD, and pretended that he too experienced the traumas these men had seen in Afghanistan, a war zone where he was never deployed.

But he sounds great, and he goes on to thank all the people who are looking into the issue.

From CNN:

A CNN KFile review reveals that similar accusations were made in 2006, during Walz’s first run for Congress. That year, multiple letters to his local paper in Mankato, Minnesota, accused him of making misleading statements about his service, including whether he had served in Iraq or Afghanistan.

Walz found the accusations serious enough that he personally responded to them both.

At issue were a selection of political ads and statements on Walz’s website describing his overseas military service. While they described Walz as having served overseas in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, they neglected to specify that he did so while serving in Italy, not Afghanistan.

Further, Walz lied about his rank.

Here is the *CORRECTED* military service record of Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz:

The document proves Tim Walz’s *DEMOTION* from Command Sergeant Major (E9) to Sergeant Major (E8).

This did not happen “years later,” as Walz suggested, but on Sept. 10, 2005 — FOUR MONTHS after discharge. Yet, Kamala Harris’ VP choice has repeatedly claimed he was a Ret. Command Sergeant Major since his discharge. Why lie about losing the rank?

Also, he KNEW he’d be automatically demoted for not completing the requirements for his “temporary” promotion to CSM.
– The following are excerpts from 600-8-19d form that he would’ve signed.
– He knew he didn’t earn the rank the second he quit as he’s demoted by rule. (3) pic.twitter.com/C6binmqH2K

So this issue had been raised before, and Walz called it slander. Interestingly, Walz never sued on the charges of slander.

Walz blatantly lied in this video. And he has been blatantly lying about his service record for decades. Now that he’s been caught, the Harris-Walz campaign’s damage-control is to scrub Walz’ lies, and slowly insert something closer to the truth.

Walz toed the line for a while. CNN continues,

Walz was more specific in other statements and interviews with the media from 2006, in which he did say that, “by luck of the draw,” he was posted to Italy, and not Afghanistan.

So he admits that he wasn’t in Afghanistan. And he certainly saw no action in Italy. However, as CNN notes, Walz couldn’t help himself:

Recent scrutiny of Walz’s service record renewed after the Harris campaign posted a video of Walz speaking about his decision to change his position and support an assault weapons ban following the 2018 Parkland shooting. In the video, Walz states, “We can make sure that those weapons of war, that I carried in war, is the only place where those weapons are at.”

The CNN article provides a bit of cover for Walz. But in the video above, there is no wiggle-room for Walz. It’s’ too bad videos like the one above exist, or Walz would be as clean as a preacher’s sheets.
