The following article, EXPOSED: The So-Called Racist Acts of Donald Trump, was first published on The Black Sphere.
A litany of Leftist have accused Donald Trump of being a racist. And their charges are so ridiculous, no thoughtful person would pay them any attention. But Leftists are braindead morons, incapable of critical thinking.
For this reason, I decided to publish an incomplete list of things Trump has done for Black people. You decide if they are racist.
1. Mentioned by Black Rappers
In the 1980s and 1990s, Donald Trump was frequently referenced in rap music as a symbol of wealth and success. He appeared in lyrics by artists such as Snoop Dogg and Nas, often celebrated for his business acumen and opulent lifestyle. However, after he entered politics, many artists criticized him due to his rhetoric and policies Still to this day, Trump is the most-mentioned mogul in rap music. And while he took criticism from notables like Eminem and Snoop, Snoop has reversed course on President Trump, as have many others.
2. Allowed a Black Woman to Live Rent-Free
This story often circulates about Trump allowing a Black woman to live rent-free in one of his buildings. The specific instance is not well-documented, but it is commonly referenced in accounts of Trump’s personal generosity.
3. Dated a Black Woman
Trump reportedly dated biracial model Kara Young in the late 1990s. She has confirmed their relationship, and this is often cited in debates over Trump’s racial attitudes. How does the Klan feel about interracial half-black people? They consider them Black.
4. Loaned His Personal Jet to Nelson Mandela
Claims about Trump loaning his private jet to Nelson Mandela are largely anecdotal and have been difficult to verify through official records. However, Trump has expressed admiration for Mandela publicly. Whether Mandela got the jet or not, not many racist publicly support a man who suffered at the hands of white oppressors.
5. Upgraded MLK’s Birthplace to a National Monument
In 2018, Trump signed a bill upgrading Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthplace in Atlanta to a national historical park, which provided additional protections and resources to preserve King’s legacy. The question one might ask is, “Why didn’t Obama do this?”
6. Posthumously Pardoned Boxer Jack Johnson
And the same question can be asked of Obama in reference to what Trump did with Jack Johnson, the first Black heavyweight boxing champion. In May 2018, Trump posthumously pardoned Jack Johnson, who was convicted under racially discriminatory laws. Trump was urged to act by several public figures, including Sylvester Stallone.
7. Made Funding for HBCUs Part of the Government Budget
In perhaps one of the biggest moves to secure the legacy of Black in America in 2019 Trump signed a bill that permanently funded Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). This act eliminated the need for these institutions to annually reapply for federal funds. This move was widely praised by leaders of HBCUs as essential for their survival.
8. Received Awards from Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton
In the late 1990s, Jesse Jackson’s Rainbow PUSH Coalition gave Trump an award for his efforts in helping create economic opportunities for Black and minority-owned businesses. Al Sharpton and Trump also had a friendly relationship before Trump’s political career intensified.
9. Established an Opportunity & Revitalization Council
In 2018, Trump launched the White House Opportunity and Revitalization Council to promote economic development in distressed Black communities, part of his broader Opportunity Zones initiative, which provided tax incentives to encourage investment in underdeveloped areas.
10. Oversaw the Lowest Black Unemployment in History
Under Trump’s presidency, Black unemployment hit a record low in 2019, reaching 5.5%. While critics argue the trend began before Trump, this statistic is often cited by his supporters as proof of economic growth benefiting minority communities during his tenure .
11. Passed Criminal Justice Reform
Trump signed the First Step Act into law in 2018, a bipartisan effort to reduce sentencing for nonviolent offenders and make it easier for them to reintegrate into society. The law was particularly impactful for Black Americans, who are disproportionately affected by the criminal justice system. Even Van Jones admitted that while others talked, Trump made it happen.
12. Openly Denounced White Nationalists and White Supremacists
While Trump has condemned white nationalism and white supremacy on multiple occasions, his response to the 2017 Charlottesville rally drew controversy. Critics point to his “very fine people on both sides” remark, while Trump supporters argue that he explicitly condemned the neo-Nazis and white supremacists at the event .
13. Denounced David Duke Over 20 Years Ago
Trump disavowed David Duke and the Ku Klux Klan as early as the 1990s. In a 2016 interview, Trump reiterated his denouncement of Duke after the former Klan leader endorsed him. Trump pointed out that he had rejected Duke’s support for years. Further Trump has denounced all racists.
14. Granted Alice Johnson Clemency
Unrelated to the First Step Act, in 2018 Trump granted clemency to Alice Johnson, a Black woman serving a life sentence for a nonviolent drug crime. This decision came after public advocacy from Kim Kardashian West and was part of Trump’s broader efforts in criminal justice reform.
15. Kissed the Western Wall
Trump became the first sitting U.S. president to visit the Western Wall in Jerusalem in 2017. His visit to this sacred Jewish site was part of his administration’s broader support for Israel.
16. Declared Jerusalem the Capital of Israel & Moved the U.S. Embassy
In December 2017, Trump formally recognized Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and relocated the U.S. Embassy there from Tel Aviv in May 2018. This move was controversial internationally but supported by many pro-Israel groups and evangelical Christians.
For the record, I plan to provide MUCH more detail into each of these in the future.
