The following article, CNN Providing Cover for Walz Military Lies, was first published on The Black Sphere.
JD Vance pulled a Trumpian move when he called Kamala Harris’ running mate out for his “stolen valor” military record. Vance’s declaration put the Democrats in a tailspin.
You know what really bothers me about Tim Walz?
When the US Marine Corps asked me to go to Iraq to serve my country, I did it.
When Tim Walz was asked by his country to go to Iraq, he dropped out of the Army and allowed his unit to go without him. I think that’s shameful. pic.twitter.com/Dq9xjn4R51

Brilliant move by Vance to go after the eunuch Democrats quickly anointed as Kamala Harris’ Great White Hope.
Democrats hoped that Tim Walz would “whiteface” Harris enough to offset her label as a DEI hire. Most people saw this as a weird move, and a move that would ultimately backfire.
The stolen valor accusation of Walz by Vance has now become mainstream. So much so, it’s ruined the strategy to make Kamala Harris the most popular presidential candidate ever. Subsequently, Harris has become desperate enough to actually pilfer Trump’s talking points, particularly Trump’s stance of no tax on tips.
Kamala Harris has resulted to straight up RIPPING OFF Trump’s platform because she doesn’t have her own.
She’s now saying “no tax on tips,” which Trump’s been saying for months.
TOTAL FRAUD. WHY DOESN’T SHE DO THAT NOW? pic.twitter.com/wDvywGiT2o

And while the Republicans haven’t done much to push back on this obvious thievery, MAGA did the heavy lifting.
This blatant lie by Harris shows how desperate Democrats are to topple the Walz story from the news cycle. But until them, the fake news outlets have a new set of orders. Protect Walz and “save the democracy”.
CNN obliged, as Brianna Keilar tried to impugn Vance’s military record. As I wrote recently, Keiler got gut-punched with the truth about Vance.
A Marine Major to whom JD Vance reported called out CNN’s Brianna Keilar for her disrespect of JD Vance’s service as a Marine reporter and suggestion of no danger:
“I saw yesterday where you talked about combat correspondent…130 heroes that served in that capacity who did not make it out of a combat zone.”
While on CNN’s Inside Politics, Keilar discussed her interview with Joe Eustice. Eustice supposedly served with Walz, and he now defends him from his critics. What did that cover story cost the Harris campaign?
Today on @InsidePolitics
Joe Eustice served in the Guard with Gov. Walz for more than a decade:
“I’m not voting for him. I’ll campaign against him, but I don’t think it’s fair to characterize his service the way they have.”
“He was as good a soldier as you’ll find.” pic.twitter.com/pWukQxBmH2

Astute observers may wonder why there is only one person coming to the aid of Walz? After all, he served with many men and women.
And why did the one person who now defends Walz happens to be a person who doesn’t agree with him politically?
The Washington Post uncovered Joe Eustice, and published the story a day before CNN began the “get well” narrative for Tim Walz. Eustice revealed to the Post:
Joe Eustice, who served in the National Guard with Walz for at least a decade, said he vehemently disagrees with Walz’s politics but described him as a good soldier. In an interview, he rejected assertions that Walz avoided combat duty. In late spring 2005, when Walz said he wanted to pursue politics and decided to retire, there was only speculation of a combat deployment on the horizon, Eustice said.
We know the game. When will the next paid-off former soldier of Walz provide his or her testimonial for Walz?
The way we know this subject has gotten under the skin of Democrats can be measured by the number of people chiming in.
Pete Buttigieg says Tim Walz’s stolen valor doesn’t matter because he only did it once.

Dana Bash of CNN tried to run interference for Walz:

It’s fun watching the Left cringe each time their cover-up gets exposed.
Tonight’s @thelauracoates interview with Walz’ direct enlisted superior [retired CSM] Doug Julin is pretty damning- Julin says sr leaders learned abt deployment in fall 2004 and Walz initially was going to stay and deploy before changing his mind. Transcript:
COATES: Is your concern that it’s — oh, go ahead. I do want to ask this question quickly, Sergeant Major, and I appreciate your time, but is your — [crosstalk] — concern about the manner in which he did not speak to you or his decision to retire, which he, as we’ve talked about, he would have been entitled to do, which causes the most concern? Because that is the focus that so many people are wondering about, whether he has done something wrong in service or done something personally to offend you.
JULIN: No, he did something wrong in service, as I stated before. He knew the policies and procedures and how we go to leadership and address issues or discuss issues and concerns out there. Again, backing up, he had told me, no, I’m going forward, we’re going to go with the battalion, and go from there. So, I’m under the believing, he told me he was going forward. I’m underneath that believing that he’s going forward. He went around me, which he should have addressed it with me so he could help me with some things out there.
COATES: Sergeant Major, this was really — excuse me, I don’t want to cut you off, sir. Finish your point, please, Sergeant Major.
JULIN: He went around me. And the fact is that there’s a possibility he probably would have realized. I would have probably said, no, it’s too late, you’re going forward, because we’d already received our notification of sourcing. And there’s one other little point out there that people say, well, he hadn’t been notified yet. Yes, he had been notified.
Now, there’s another step out there. It is what’s called stop loss. Ninety days prior to the actual deployment, we received our orders. And at that time is what’s called stop loss, where if you’re in a position, you’re going forward irregardless, unless there’s some really major or process —
COATES: Hmm, okay.
JULIN: — that gets you out from not going on the deployment itself. So, there’s that window of opportunity there. People say, well, he never knew he was going forward. Yeah, he knew he was going forward. Had he gotten his orders yet? No. At that time, he had not.
Let’s see how the media handles this latest revelation.
At some point Democrats need to learn when to cut their losses. The solution here would be for Walz to tell the truth.
If he didn’t want to deploy because he was going to run for Congress, he should have said this. Hell, this is what I have taught my kids and most people teach theirs. Tell the truth, as it is always better than the punishment for the lie and the cover-up.
But Democrats have gotten use to lying and getting away with it. Buttigieg claims that Walz only “misspoke” once on the issue of his military record. That is a lie.
Conservatives need to stay on this subject as long as possible. On September 10, Trump will drive a metaphorical stake through Harris’ heart. He will have plenty of ammunition before the debate.
