The following article, Democrats’ Devine Comedy of Debt and Denial, was first published on The Black Sphere.
If the re-election of Donald Trump isn’t a mandate, then why can’t the Democrats pay their bills? Better yet, where is ActBlue when a girl needs some money?
The debt left by Kamala Harris showcases much more than financial mismanagement. And Democrats know it. Why else can’t they pay a measly $20 million?
When Hunter Biden found himself in a tough spot, a California lawyer friend “loaned” him a cool $2 million to pay back the Feds. Surely there is a fat cat Democrat willing to bail out Harris and the Dems. Consider how much clout this person would have, if they “saved the democracy”.
By the way, where is all the bragging about the amount of money Democrats raised for Harris? They presented her as a fundraising juggernaut. What happened?
Oh that’s right, she lost the election.
Kamala Harris’ presidential campaign raised nearly $1 billion with some sketchy tactics. And after likely setting fundraising records, Harris-Walz got trounced by President-elect Donald Trump in the 2024 election. And now, saddled with $20 million in campaign debt, Harris proves that losing can be as expensive as winning.
But Harris and her running mate, Governor Tim Walz, aren’t just licking their wounds in private. They’re actively raising more money. Yes, the same people who couldn’t manage to convince America to vote for them now have the audacity to ask donors to “save democracy” by paying off their massive tab.
Recount Grift?
Does Harris plan on challenging the results of the election? Of course not. Why relive that brutal body-slam. Nevertheless, Harris’ campaign is still fundraising under the guise of financing a recount—despite the fact that the recount deadline passed. The Harris Victory Fund claims contributions will help “fight” Trump’s supposed threats to democracy. But let’s call this what it is: a post-election hustle.
Cybersecurity experts and Leftist groups like Free Speech for People are alleging data breaches and irregularities in states like Michigan and Pennsylvania. Their evidence? Well, they didn’t bring receipts—just vibes. Meanwhile, I repeat: Harris herself has publicly conceded the race.
Believe it or not, the Federal Election Commission (FEC) allows campaigns to raise funds for recounts without actually filing one. It’s a loophole that could let Harris funnel extra cash to the DNC or even charities.
“Save Democracy” & Beyoncé Optics
Will donor really want to bail out a campaign that spent its resources like a college student with their first credit card? Lavish events with musicians, celebrity-packed fundraisers, and bizarre ad placements? Check, check, and check. Yet now, the campaign can’t pay senior staffers who were told their salaries were guaranteed through next year.
The hypocrisy is laughable. Democrats love to criticize corporations for failing to pay workers a “living wage,” but their own campaign apparently can’t scrape together enough to cover payroll. Maybe they should consider adding a Venmo link to their fundraising emails.
The Left’s Cash Crunch
The Democrats’ financial troubles aren’t just about Harris. The DNC itself is in such dire straits that even its small-dollar donations are being routed to the national party by default unless donors explicitly request otherwise. Talk about transparency—or lack thereof.
With no money, no cohesive message, and a dwindling voter base, the Democrats are facing a political identity crisis. And it’s not just about losing the presidency. Their defeats in the House and Senate make their path to relevance about as clear as Kamala’s explanation of AI:
“AI is two letters. It means Artificial Intelligence.”
A Party in Decline
Harris’ fundraising debacle underscores the broader decline of the Democratic Party. Once the self-proclaimed saviors of democracy, they now look like a group of over-ambitious influencers who maxed out their credit cards buying ring lights and TikTok followers. Democrats spent four years branding Trump and MAGA Republicans as existential threats, only to lose spectacularly. And now, they want Americans to foot the bill for their failure. Perhaps the real threat to democracy isn’t Trump or MAGA—it’s trusting Democrats with a budget.
