[WEEKEND RECAP 05-11-25] Instead of reporting the good news, CNBC’s headline read:
“Private payroll growth slowed to 62,000 in April, well below expectations”
To fully understand the job numbers, one must note that the government massively cut Fed jobs and still outperformed expectations. However, CNBC couldn’t report the good news.
Speaking of the irony of numbers, the day Al Gore was born there were 7000 polar bears on Earth. Today, only 26,000 remain.
How about these numbers?
Government spending dropped 5.1% in the first quarter. That is a reason to celebrate, and I have to wonder if this is the first time this has happened in modern times.
