They don’t want to know us. They find us repugnant, because we represent what they see was the best they could possibly be, but can’t achieve.
Our success created their animosity. They only way they can duplicate our success is through stacking the deck, unleveling the playing field for us, so they can win.
Imagine the feeling of knowing when you win, you’re still a loser.
You get the trophy, and perhaps the purse…but you’re still a loser. Even if you manage to silence the winner, deep down you know what you are.
