The following article, When Black Female Democrats Politicians Becomes First-Class Felons, was first published on The Black Sphere.
Instead of a regal coronation, Black female Democrats politicians seem to prefer a clown parade in front of the jury box.
I remember the days when Black ‘firsts’ were jewels shimmering in the community’s crown. Maggie Walker, the first female bank president in the U.S., Sojourner Truth, whose “Ain’t I a Woman?” shook foundations, Althea Gibson, swinging her racket into the Wimbledon courts—women we lifted onto pedestals.
They forged enduring legacies through hardship and heroism. Those were the milestone makers, not headline makers.
Modern Paragons or Puff Pieces?
Fast forward to now, when Black Leftists seem to think stepping into office automatically qualifies you for sainthood—and our Rosa Parks reference shelf gets overcrowded.
Letitia James, Fani Willis, et al have become the mascots of Black moral superiority. Cue the conga line of hypocrisy. These examples of Black Leftist female modern icons represent anything but.
Let’s take a look at this recent Black female (Leftist) trailblazer with the thought, “If Fani Willis had a sister”.
LaToya Cantrell – Mayor of New Orleans
New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell. The first Black female of New Orleans in 300 years is our subject. And how did she honor distinction of being a first? With a scandal.
As reported here,
Months before New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell was set to leave office because of term limits, she has been indicted in what prosecutors allege was a yearslong scheme to conceal a romantic relationship with her bodyguard.
Prosecutors say bodyguard Jeffrey Vappie was being paid as if he was working when he and Cantrell were really alone in apartments and visiting vineyards, hiding their communication by sending encrypted messages through WhatsApp and then deleting them. Although the pair have said their relationship was strictly professional, the indictment described it as “personal and intimate.”
She’s been charged with conspiracy, fraud and obstruction. And if that’s not bad enough, look at the example the mayor set with her “companion”.
Vappie was already facing charges of wire fraud and making false statements, though he has pleaded not guilty. Regardless, a grand jury returned an 18-count indictment Friday that added Cantrell to the case.
Fani Willis: ‘Justice’ With a Side of Secrecy
Willis gained national attention for unlawful prosecution of Donald Trump over election interference in Georgia. She faced allegations of a conflict of interest due to a past relationship with special prosecutor Nathan Wade.
A judge has ordered Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis to pay more than $54,000 in attorneys’ fees and to turn over documents after finding that her office violated Georgia’s Open Records Act.
Attorney Ashleigh Merchant represents former Trump campaign staffer Michael Roman, one of the 18 people indicted in August 2023 along with President Donald Trump on allegations that they illegally tried to overturn Trump’s 2020 election loss in Georgia. Merchant sued in January 2024, alleging that the district attorney’s office had failed to turn over public records she had requested.
Fulton County Superior Court Judge Rachel Krause found that the failures to comply with the records law “were intentional, not done in good faith, and were substantially groundless and vexatious.” Because Willis and her office “lacked substantial justification” for not complying, Merchant is entitled to attorneys’ fees and litigation expenses totaling just over $54,000, Krause found.
And why do you think Willis doesn’t want to turn over records? My guess is for the reason Democrats rarely do such things: she’s guilty.
Tiffany Henyard: Super Mayor, Sub-Super Ethics
Henyard has faced scrutiny over claims of financial mismanagement, misuse of public funds, and authoritarian leadership. Critics accuse her of retaliating against political opponents. Of course, Henyard denies wrongdoing, framing investigations as politically motivated.
Drama involving “Dolton Dictator” Tiffany Henyard has followed her out of office, and for good reason.
The former mayor of the Chicago suburb took the fifth Friday when she was asked to testify as part of a civil lawsuit with a federal probe still hanging over her head, according to reports.
Her lawyer, Beau Brindley, told WGN that he advised her to decline taking the stand because of the investigation.
The ex-pol showed up at the Friday hearing that was connected to a lawsuit filed by the Edgar County Watchdogs in a bid to get documents requested via the Freedom of Information Act.
In what truly appears to be “my dog ate my homework”, Henyard–who once called herself “super mayor”–was supposed to provide public records that were requested last year. However , she now claims she doesn’t have them, according to the Chicago Tribune.
“She does not have these documents,” Brindley told the newspaper. “The one document they’re asking for, she doesn’t remember what it is. She doesn’t possess it.”
Henyard, 41, was sued while she was still in office in February 2024 after the village didn’t fork over paperwork requested the month before.
Funny how Democrats seem to never have the documents when asked. They either delete emails, bleachbit their servers, hammer their cell phones, or whatever, a la Hillary Clinton or the J6 Committee.

The Color of Irony
Notice the color of hypocrisy—these are Democrats, Black women, claiming moral high ground for community uplift. Instead, we get misused funds, stonewalling, and romantic conspiracies. It’s almost like ambition got dressed up in virtue-signaling cosplay but forgot to zip up the ethics halfway. The hypocrisy isn’t subtle—it’s screaming, with a quite literal criminal indictment to back it up.
Institutions expected to uphold progress end up bowing under the weight of their own entitlement. Progress is supposed to lift, not license. Power is supposed to serve, not seduce. And firsts should inspire, not indict.
So here we are: a parade of some “historic firsts”. However, instead of paving an ascending arc, chart a roller-coaster route of impropriety. The bigger irony? Leftists exalt these women as beacons, then find themselves rationalizing to the Black community why “well, nobody’s perfect”. Try to imagine how these women would have represented Blacks back in the day, when it really mattered.
Wouldn’t it be something if one of these women, instead of collecting charges, collected scholarships? Instead of hiding a wine retreat, hosted a women’s summit on ethics?
