the “both sides” argument—it’s been the Left’s favorite dodge for years. “Both sides are bad.” “Everyone’s responsible.” But lately, it rings hollow. When one side escalates rhetoric, when lawfare becomes the tool, when media smears get normalized—and the response is silence or deflection—that isn’t symmetry. That’s imbalance. And the public knows it. The idea that both sides are equally culpable—or that violence starts, truth is equal—people are seeing that as a lie. Because it is.
