Jimmy Kimmel’s return episode on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, drew a massive 6.3 million viewers on traditional TV—more than three times the show’s typical average of around 1.6 million—making it the highest-rated regularly scheduled episode in the show’s history.

However, viewership fell sharply in the following days, returning to (and dipping below) normal levels.
