After Rosa Parks was arrested for simply not wanting to get back on her sore feet, just so a white person could sit there, a spark was lit, eventually leading to the civil rights act. Ida B Wells was a former slave who became one of the founders of The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP). She recorded the horrors that were happening to black people, exposing it to the wider world.
