The bad news just keeps on coming. First, Fox News could get nobody to interview on behalf of Joe Biden the other day.
Clearly, nobody is willing to step up for Biden these days. And with good reason. Biden is toxic. But, don’t believe me, just ask the Senator from Wisconsin who conveniently won’t be in town when Biden gets there.
Sen. Tammy Baldwin, one of President Biden’s staunchest allies in Congress, apparently wants no part of the commander in chief after his poor performance during last week’s presidential debate.
Baldwin (D-Wis.), 62, will not join Biden, 81, when he travels to her hometown of Madison Friday for a campaign event — opting instead for a previously planned swing through the northern part of the state.
“Tammy Baldwin is running her own race for the people of Wisconsin,” her campaign spokesman Andrew Mamo told local reporters.
And now one of Biden’s biggest advocates canceled his scheduled meeting on Face the Nation:
Congressman Clyburn’s staff informed Face the Nation this afternoon he needed to cancel Sunday’s interview. We look forward to hearing from the congressman again soon.

Recall it was Clyburn who saved Biden’s ass in 2020, when he was under fire from Pete Buttigieg and Bernie Sanders, to name a few.
Could Clyburn have second thoughts? I’d say yes. AP reported,
He is often credited as the man who delivered the Democratic nomination to Joe Biden with a pivotal endorsement four years ago.
But on Wednesday, Rep. James Clyburn, D-S.C., sent a resounding message to the president and elected officials across the nation that it may be time to move on.
Clyburn, a Biden campaign co-chair, outlined a process to replace Biden during an interview with CNN. Should Biden step aside, Clyburn said, he expects a “mini-primary” featuring Vice President Kamala Harris, governors and others in the run-up to the Democratic National Convention in August.
“You can actually fashion the process that’s already in place to make it a mini-primary and I would support that,” said Clyburn, who also spoke to Biden on Wednesday in a conversation his office refused to discuss.
Clyburn’s decision to spell out in detail how Biden might be replaced was viewed as a clarion call by some top donors, party insiders and even members of Biden’s campaign who increasingly believe that the 81-year-old president will be forced to step aside following a debate performance that shook the party’s confidence in his ability to defeat Republican former President Donald Trump in November.
Only days earlier, Clyburn indicated that he supported Biden.
What’s changed? The opinions of the elites who run the Democratic Party.
Even DNC Chairman Hakeem Jeffries has been forced to jettison Biden. According to Axios, Jeffries got the message:
House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.) is set to connect with his House committee leaders just before Congress returns to session for a conversation that is expected to touch on President Biden’s candidacy.
Why it matters: Next week could be a watershed moment for House Democrats, many of whom remain shaken by the president’s poor debate performance and convinced he cannot beat former President Trump.
Lawmakers from across the party have told Axios they are hearing from donors, constituents and other stakeholders with grave concerns about Biden’s strength.
Democrats in swing districts are doubly fearful the president could drag down their races as well, throwing the fight for Congress into doubt.
Driving the news: Jeffries will meet virtually with committee ranking members on Sunday afternoon, just a day before the House is set to reconvene after a week-long recess, according to two sources familiar with the matter.
This meeting is no surprise. It’s an emergency meeting to figure out how to dump Biden and preserve the other Democrats down-ticket.
I predict that Biden will be dumped with a quickness, possibly this week. And the ruckus created may cause Democrats to go farther and sacrifice the man; for the sake of the “democracy”.
What a tricky situation they find themselves in. A situation of their own creation. And I only hope that Biden decides to protect himself. To go out kicking and screaming. Because his dirt is their dirt. That amount of dirt doesn’t wash out easily and it can’t be swept under the rug.
The emperor has no clothes.
Biden has been given his “burn notice”. Nobody will protect him now, so I’m anxious to see how he responds.
